THE VISUAL

The visual is a panoramic view of 'electronic screens' displaying an array of visual images - 'events,' 'situations,' 'happenings' - at various places on the planet.  To the onlooker it is 'modern day scenery,' most of us are familiar with - it is scenery however that is 'synthetic' and artificial.'   A form of scenery none the less - symbolic of the backdrop to most of our lives.

Behind this all is 'Modern Man' - 'suited and booted' - with shirt and tie.  The 'New Man' - 'The Adam' - what has he done?  - What has he done?!!!

THE TEXT

 

Line 1:

​

'Enjoy!'

​

Life should be about pleasure/enjoyment - yes there are 'sensible' restrictions - a 'consensus' of values among Humanity - lines most of us agree we should not cross.  But the overwhelming, governing instinct of Humanity is that Life should be pleasurable.  Therefore, to enjoy! - Is a declaration of Life.
 

Line 2:

'The scenery.'

​

'Enjoy! - The scenery.' - Is this scenery? 

​

Well, it seems to appear more and more in our lives wherever we go - the 'screens' - the 'flashing images' - the 'flickering' - the 'intensity of the content' - these things are present and increasingly intrude in our everyday lives. 

​

It is the 'scenery' that has come to be 'Created' - it is 'synthetic' and 'artificial' - can we enjoy this 'scenery?' - Or is it something we are simply subjected to? 

 

If we are subjected' to it - it is because at some point we have 'consented' either 'explicitly' or 'implicitly' to this 'new scenery.'  'The Cosmos is programmable - and we all have programmed it so!'

Birds

Flowers

Trees

People?'

Is it 'scenery' as we know it? - Is it 'natural' as we would understand? - 'The natural' - where is the natural? - Where are the birds, flowers, trees, people?

​

We are fundamentally 'natural biological organisms.'  We as humans embody the 'Natural' - our natural 'environment' is 'nature.' 

​

Through our intelligence we have augmented that 'natural world' with 'technology.'  But 'nature' teaches us - 'balance' and 'harmony.' 

​

Therefore, as 'natural biological organisms,' for us to be in 'balance' and 'harmony' - our 'environment' must be balanced and in harmony - again, where are the birds, flowers, trees, people?

​

In considering this 'AphorVision' we are reminded that our 'physical environment' shapes our being as humans - we must therefore be careful, how we construct our 'physical environment' - be aware of intrusions by the 'artificial' and 'synthetic' - in our 'physical space,' our 'emotional space' - in our 'Minds!'

Line 9:

'Why not?'

​

If we are existing in an 'unnatural environment' - we should first realise that this is occurring - and ask ourselves -  'why is this happening?' 

 

Ultimately as 'Sovereign Independent/Integrated Beings' we control our 'private space' - if we do not accept this 'artificial,' 'synthetic' scenery, as it increasingly appears in our lives. We must question and challenge it.  - Again I repeat, where are the birds , flowers, trees, people?

We must always remember that we are 'natural biological organisms' and - 'with our slice of pizza' - make sure we take 'a slice of nature.'
